Oakley, Cincinnati — Oak Tavern

August 19th, 2007

Alas another bar is worthy of being added to the “game day” list of bars around the Cincinnati area. Bustling with Bengal’s spirit and brews on a game day, The Oak Tavern in Oakley square is a great new addition to the plethora of restaurants and bars in the area. Brand new flat screen TV’s, pool tables and friendly staff make this place a great casual spot to relax and have a beer while watching the game on one of the many visible TV’s. After all sports have run their course on the screens, the bar becomes energetic with live music each night. As of now there is never a cover charge, just be prepared to scream so you can here yourself and others talk.

Pros: Nice, new, casual, great for sports, fantastic happy hour and great service. Free parking lot across the street.

Cons: They don’t have a kitchen yet, but will be coming soon…for now you will just have to stuff yourself with salty peanuts…which isn’t half bad since they’re free!
Loud music at night for such a small space, but then again the music is free too so maybe we really can’t complain?

Overall The Oak Tavern might be a new staple in the area that will attract many regulars and sports fans alike!

Check it out for yourself…
